OK, after a little bit of goggling on Turkey Vultures and Bald eagles it could be either. I've seen several pictures of eagles with the end feathers as 'fingers' Hard to tell from the picts if the bottoms of the wings are light as a TV. But I've seen TV up high and you cannot make out that bottom wings are white. So it is certainly beyond me to tell. Ed
"It looks like a young Bald Eagle to me. It's quite dark, so probably a year or so old. It's probably too early for this year's birds to be out of the next, but not impossible.

I asked the guys that run the Franklin Mountain Hawkwatch. That's what they said. I get the thing about the 'fingers'. But the next thing to look at is the head. No question (in my mind) this is an eagle.
